Snazzy by Go Fish-Giveaway and Review January 6, 2009

I am so delighted to partner with Go Fish to offer a Giveaway of their best selling album, “Snazzy!” Check out the bottom of this post for information on how to enter this FREE Giveaway!

I first heard Go Fish at the CD release party for Snazzy. I sound like a hip mover and shaker, don’t I? Instead of a New York City nightclub, this party was on the convention floor of the MOPS (Mother’s of PreSchoolers) convention. 4000 moms with no kids was a VERY receptive audience!

Far and away, the most poplar song was “The Mom Song.” The first line brought the house down:

“If you push a stroller but you’re still a Rock n Roller, your a MOM.”

The song continued with great lines that every one of us with little ones can relate to. This song really acknowledges the hard work of motherhood, but it a fun, uplifting way. You’ll cheer with excitement while having a humble heart about your job of motherhood. The MOM song rocks!

“American Kid” was another favorite. As a parent, I want my child to have pride in our country. With all our fault, America is still the best! My favorite line:

My country is the best and this is how I know: Everybody wants in but nobody wants to go!”

How awesome are the Go Fish Guys? They can even rock “Itsy Bitsy Spider.” Seriously. I fed a spider to our Venus Fly Trap and had their version going through my head. But, like their tag line says, it’s Great Music for Kids that Won’t Drive their Parents Bonkers!

“You bug me, that’s the issue. Gonna get you with a tissue.”

So, as I’m writing these lines, they sound kinda silly just read aloud. But trust me, when you have these guys rockin’ in out, acapella style, you will LOVE it…and so will your kids.

I know you are now simply dying to get your hands on lots of Go Fish CDs. Good news! If you go to, you can buy CDs with no shipping. Their are having an awesome deal right now…buy the first CD of your choice for $15, get as many additional CDs as you want for $5!!

Go Fish

Go Fish

If I have to listen to, or worse yet sing, On Top of Spaghetti one more time, I might go postal (do people say that anymore?) Veggie Tales, Barney, you all make me want to hurl.

Go Fish Guys? They Rock! Their tag line says it all, “Music for kids that won’t drive their parents bonkers.” Totally true. I even listen to the CDs when my kids aren’t around. Go Fish Guys are THAT great!

One of the first Go Fish Guys songs I heard was The Mom Song:

If you have little ones, you may have laughed until you cried! All of their songs are acapella with percussion. It’s amazing the different sounds 3 guys can make.

They even rock “Itsy Bitsy Spider.” Seriously. If your kids ask for Go Fish music, you’ll be delighted. If you find yourself singing these songs, you won’t mind.

Go Fish Guys also have a fun DVD filmed at a fair with lots of animals. It cracks me up and keeps my kids entertained. Their Christmas CD SNOW is wonderful, too. I have it on right now!

If you head to the Go Fish Guys website, you’ll find they have free shipping every day and most of their products are $15 flat, much less than most CDs these days!

Enjoy a little music, and hey, your kids will like it too!

Banana Pancakes ROCK!

Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson is one of my favorite Pandora finds. It’s totally mellow with a little toe-tapping beat. It is the perfect song to play while my husband makes, what else, Banana Pancakes on Saturday mornings. I love it’s acoustic sound and wonderful lyrics. I just picture a mom and dad dancing in the kitchen while the quiet kids play underfoot. Our actual morning picture is Dad cooking and barking out, “Where is the good spatula?” and Mom typing on her computer. Girls are underfoot, but usually pulling hair and crying. Not so pretty, but I sure love this song!

167 of Your Favorite Songs-Pandora!

I am SO 2003, so I might be the last person who does not have an iPod of some sort. I like music, but I’m not totally into music, so why buy an iPod?

I do spend a lot of time on or near my computer so I think I’ve found the perfect solution.!

Basically, Pandora lets you create your very own radio station. Simply enter your favorite artist or song and Pandora will create a radio station. As songs come up, you give the thumbs up or thumbs down, which Pandora uses to select the next song. You can add other songs and artists to create a custom mix, too.

My favorite feature of Pandora is it selects other music you’ve probably never heard. Why is this great? Well, it will be of such a similar style to your faves that you’ll probably want to add that to the mix as well. You can create different radio stations to suit your mood.

In detailed terms, Pandora is the result of the Music Genome Project. Musicians and scientists got together and determined what exactly makes a piece of music unique, what are it’s identifying characteristics. They compiled all this information into the Music Genome Project. Let me just say, the results will amaze you!
